This Thursday, the production company Kadokawa revealed a new promotional trailer for the anime adaptation of the comedy-survival manga written and illustrated by Katsuwo, #I'm Looking For Zombie (#Zombie Sagashitemasu). The committee released a first promotional image and confirmed that the series will begin broadcasting on Japanese television during the upcoming October season.

About the work

Katsuwo began publishing this peculiar blend of slice-of-life and zombie apocalypse in the pages of Comic Dengeki DaiohG magazine, under Kadokawa's editorial label, in June 2022. The work managed to build a fresh narrative about the end of the world, officially concluding its serialization with the publication of its third and final compiled volume in January 2024.

Synopsis of #I'm Looking For Zombie

The story takes place in a devastated world where 90 percent of humanity contracted a lethal disease that turned them into bloodthirsty zombies. Thirteen years have passed since that event, dubbed "Red Day." Survivors live secluded in isolated villages far from the fallen cities. In this environment, a new generation has grown up with no memory or knowledge of what the world was like before the collapse. The plot follows Aki, a girl who decides to leave the safety of her village to search for her missing father. Armed with a lethal modified saw, she embarks on a journey full of humor and danger alongside her best friends: Natsuki, who judges everything around her based on whether it is "cute" or not while firing her pink bow, and Haru, a physical fitness obsessive who uses a baseball bat and his own muscles to crush the undead.
