Let's talk about the soundtrack. The opening theme, "Hitokoto," will be performed by the iconic trio ClariS. The song drops on digital platforms on July 5th. Fans of the group have more to celebrate, as their 15th-anniversary tour is adding a special "Final Night" concert in Tokyo this September.

For the ending, we get the soulful "Shinboshi" from actor and singer Ikusaburō Yamazaki. It's a great mix of pop and drama to set the mood.

The Story Behind the Bride

So, what's this all about? Imagine a Japan where humans and demons live side-by-side. Our protagonist, Yuzu, feels pretty ordinary, especially compared to her older sister, who is married to a demon. Her life takes a wild turn when a stunningly handsome ogre shows up and declares that she is his destined bride. Talk about a complicated family dynamic!

The anime adaptation brings together a solid team. Kazuhito Ōmiya is directing at Colored Pencil Animation Japan, with series scripts by Yumi Kamakura. The character designs are handled by Hikari Tanaka, with Hiroko Shigekuni also contributing, and the music is composed by Masaru Yokoyama.

Where and When to Watch

The series kicks off on July 4 at 24:30 (that's technically 12:30 AM on July 5) on Tokyo MX, BS11, and several other channels. It will also be available on streaming services like d Anime Store, ABEMA, and U-NEXT right from the start, with more platforms to follow.

A Proven Hit in Print

This isn't just a new anime; it's adapting a successful franchise. The original light novel by Kureha began in 2019 and has already published nine volumes. It even won a grand prize in a writing contest. The manga adaptation by Jun Togashi has been a top-ranking title in its magazine for two years running. Combined, the novels and manga have circulated over 5.8 million copies. There's even a live-action film that had a strong box office opening earlier this year.

With that kind of track record, the anime has a lot to live up to. The new PV gives us a glimpse of the romantic and supernatural tensions to come. Are you ready for a summer of demonic matrimony? What do you think of the casting and the newly revealed songs? Let us know your thoughts!
