The Story of Megane, Tokidoki, Yankee-kun

Let us look at the plot. Momose wants a simple life. She hates hoodlums. She meets Ichikura. He has black hair and glasses. He seems like a nice guy. Spoiler alert: he is not. Back in junior high, he was a notorious delinquent.

He says he has changed. But does he keep his word? Not really. He still picks fights easily. We laugh at the irony. It is like adopting a kitten and finding out it thinks it is a tiger.

The Manga Origins

Naruki launched this series in Bessatsu Friend back in January 2021. The manga is ongoing. Volume 11 just dropped in May. If you cannot wait until 2027, you can read it right now. Seven Seas Entertainment publishes it in English. Volume 7 is already out.
