Vanguard, that moment is arriving on November 7, when the Divinez Unmei Seisen-hen (The Fated Star Battle Arc) makes its television debut. This is the final arc of the DivineZ saga, a culmination of years of battles, friendships, and the quiet tension of a world hanging on the turn of a card. You might already feel that familiar flutter in your chest—the one that comes when you know something big is about to happen.

A Theme Song Written by a Voice Actor

The promotional video, which dropped on Wednesday, not only shows off the key visual but also previews the theme song “Escape” performed by Kis-My-Ft2. What makes this even more personal is that Toshiya Miyata, a member of Kis-My-Ft2 who also voices protagonist Akina Myōdō, wrote the lyrics himself. It’s a rare moment when an artist steps into the character’s soul and then translates that feeling into music—like watching a painter sign the canvas with a brushstroke that only they could draw.

From Theaters to Television

Before the TV broadcast, the arc will first open in Japanese theaters on October 2, giving fans a chance to experience the story on the big screen. Kinema Citrus is handling the animation again, with original character designs by the legendary CLAMP. A Mini Anime Side Story

As if that weren’t enough, the franchise also announced a mini anime adaptation of Kaeru DX’s manga Ghost Meets Gal, debuting on September 5 at 8:00 a.m. JST. Produced by AtoriE, this short series will feature Karin Kagami—the voice of Urara Haneyama from Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress—as Rubuna, and Yūka Nishio—who voiced Nao Inabe in Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez—as Santi. The theme song, “Nikoichi Mirai,” comes from BanG Dream!’s Mugendai Mewtype band. It’s a small, charming detour before the storm.

The Road to the Final Arc

To understand where we are now, you have to look back at the path that led here. The Divinez saga began in January 2024, followed by a second season in July 2024. Then came the Deluxe Arc in January 2025, and the Deluxe Finals which aired its 12th and final episode on October 4, 2025. Now, with the Fated Star Battle Arc, the DivineZ story reaches its conclusion. But don’t think that’s the end of the road—Bushiroad has already confirmed a completely new television anime in 2027 to celebrate the franchise’s 15th anniversary.
