Crunchyroll Unites with Partners for Fresh Webtoon Anime Magic

Growing up as a Korean girl in the vibrant streets of Mexico, I always chased stories that mixed my roots with new flavors, like kimchi tacos sizzling on a rainy afternoon. You know that spark when a tale grabs you tight? This partnership hits just like that, pulling WEBTOON gems into anime form through Crunchyroll, HAYATE Inc., and LINE Digital Frontier.

A Bridge of Creative Fire

These teams join hands from the very start of development, crafting around 15 select titles. You can dive into them all via the LINE Digital Frontier app right now. Among the blaze are The Boxer, The Remarried Empress, and Teenage Mercenary. Crunchyroll locks in exclusive streams for these anime in chosen lands, letting the emotions wash over you without barriers.

Have you felt the punch of a webtoon turning animated before? It lights up your evenings like fireworks over Mexico City.

The Heart Behind the Venture

HAYATE Inc. sprang to life in March 2025, rooted in Tokyo. Aniplex's Masanori Miyake steers as Chairman and CEO, with Leo Watanabe as President and COO. Staff from Aniplex and Crunchyroll fill the ranks, pouring energy into planning and producing anime just for Crunchyroll's global stage.

• They scooped up every share of studio Lay-duce in April, folding it fully under their wing.
• Now they guide the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima: Legends series, known as Ghost of Tsushima: Kuroudo Kitan.

As someone weaving Korean heritage into Mexican days, this feels like homecoming waves crashing strong.

Pushing Webtoon Waves Further

LINE Digital Frontier CEO Shin-bae Kim shared plans back in February 2025 to birth 20 animated webtoon takes that year, swelling their IP world. They run LINE Manga as Naver Webtoon's Japanese arm. Since 2024, LINE Manga charges hard with adaptations—12 that year after only one in 2022 and two in 2023.

You should grab these tales and let them fuel your next binge. Join the rush on Crunchyroll today and share how they stir your soul!
