Chainsaw Man manga publishes its final chapter and concludes its story
Tatsuki Fujimoto's visceral and unpredictable shonen manga published its final chapter and closed its successful serialization.

Surviving in a world infested by demons collecting bloody debts is a titanic feat, but keeping readers on the edge of their seats for years with unpredictable narrative twists is the hallmark of a true industry master. The most visceral and chaotic journey of the decade has reached its bloody conclusion. This Wednesday, the acclaimed action-horror shonen manga written and illustrated by the unpredictable Tatsuki Fujimoto, Chainsaw Man, officially ended its long publication with the release of chapter 232 through Shueisha's digital service Shonen Jump+.

The conclusion of this monumental work has sparked a wave of intense debate on social media, with thousands of fans analyzing what many already consider one of the most unexpected and daring endings in the medium's recent history. To commemorate the final closure of the story, publisher Shueisha confirmed that the franchise will compile its remaining chapters into one last printed book. Volume 24, the series' final installment, will go on sale on Japanese shelves on June 4th, allowing collectors to complete their prized physical libraries.
Although master Tatsuki Fujimoto has not revealed his next creative steps after this exhausting journey, the legacy of the chainsaw devil is far from disappearing from screens. The hit animation studio MAPPA, responsible for the 12-episode first season in 2022 and the recent film focused on the Reze arc released last September, is already hard at work on the production of a new anime project that will adapt the manga's next major narrative arc.
About the Work
The cultural impact of this franchise cannot be understated. Chainsaw Man began its violent journey in the pages of the legendary Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in December 2018. Its first part, which laid the foundation for its global success, concluded in December 2020 after 97 chapters of pure adrenaline. Far from putting down the pen, Fujimoto moved the second part of his dark narrative to the digital platform Shonen Jump+ in July 2022, expanding the universe and the psychology of its characters until its surprise closure today, undoubtedly solidifying itself as one of the modern pillars of action manga.
Chainsaw Man Synopsis
The plot follows the tragic yet explosive life of Denji, a miserable orphaned youth drowning in the crushing debts left by his deceased father. To survive, he is forced to hunt demons alongside his only companion: Pochita, a small and loyal dog-demon with a chainsaw on his head. After suffering a deadly betrayal, Denji's mutilated body merges with Pochita through a demonic contract, being reborn as the fearsome Chainsaw Man, a hybrid being capable of manifesting roaring chainsaws from his limbs and head. His overwhelming destructive power catches the attention of Public Safety, who recruit him as an official devil hunter. From that moment on, Denji will plunge into a sadistic world of conspiracies, blood, and irreparable losses, as he desperately fights against primal monstrosities motivated solely by the dream of having a peaceful life, eating bread with jam, and experiencing a girl's love for the first time.
Now that the ink has dried and the story has come to an end, what do you consider to be the most devastating plot twist or the most iconic panel that Tatsuki Fujimoto gave us throughout these 232 chapters?
