A Wild Last Boss Appeared! is preparing its return, and this time the series steps back onto the battlefield with a new promotional video, additional cast members, and a confirmed early streaming debut on September 26. If you have been waiting for Lufas to rise again, the wait now feels less like a distant mountain and more like a door already half open.

The newly released trailer also previews the ending theme, "Yurete Skirt", performed by Chakura, adding a softer current beneath a story built on conquest, collapse, and rebirth.

Season 2 Sets Its Release Schedule

The second season will begin streaming first on ABEMA and U-NEXT on September 26 at 10:30 p.m.. Its television broadcast will follow on October 3 at the same time on Tokyo MX, before expanding to BS Asahi and Kansai TV on October 4.

That short gap between streaming and broadcast gives the series an early runway, a strategy you now see often in anime, where a few days can build momentum like sparks catching dry grass.

The collapse of power created a new opening for the devilfolk, and two centuries later, humanity's attempt to summon a hero instead leads to the awakening of Lufas.

That premise still has bite. Even now, stories about resurrection and broken balance remain powerful because they ask a simple question: what returns when the world believes it has already moved on?

The original story by Firehead and YahaKo began on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2015 and concluded in 2017. The light novel adaptation ran to nine volumes, with the final print volume released in April 2019. A manga adaptation by Tsubasa Hazuki launched in 2017.

The franchise has now reached 1.4 million copies in circulation, a figure that gives useful weight to its return. In anime terms, that number may not roar, but it speaks clearly. It tells you this story has found its audience, held it, and earned another season through steady loyalty rather than noise.

The first season debuted on ABEMA and U-NEXT in September 2025, before its TV run began in October 2025. Now, with season 2 approaching, the series has a chance to deepen its place in the fantasy lineup instead of merely revisiting it.
