When the second cour arrives

The anime’s next quarter begins on October 13, and you can almost picture the timetable as neatly stacked paper cranes, one after another. The staff also announced that an “episode 13.5” recap will air the week before, acting like a gentle rewind button for anyone who wants to settle back into the mood.

For broadcast timing, it starts on AT-X at 11:00 p.m., and then the same evening it expands across multiple networks: Tokyo MX, BS11, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, Fukui Broadcasting, and TV Aichi.

Theme songs: Saku and aruma’s ending

In a series where feelings land softly but stick, the music becomes another kind of character—one that you carry home even after the credits. Cider Girl performs the opening theme song, “Saku” (To Bloom), while aruma handles the ending theme song, “Doko nimo Ikenai Mama” (While I Can't Go Anywhere).

Yūji Tokuno (Kiratto Pri☆Chan, Pretty Boy Detective Club) directs the series at feel. What the story is about

You’ll meet Chitose Saku, a student at Fujishi High School, described as the best preparatory school in the prefecture. His studies, athletics, and communication skills are all at a high level, and that makes him visible—sometimes in the way you’re celebrated, and sometimes in the way you become a target of other people’s expectations.

In the spring of his second year, in a new class, Saku is asked to convince a withdrawn student to return to school. Set in Fukui prefecture, the series positions itself as an emotional coming-of-age story, where growth doesn’t always look loud, but it always looks real.

Light novel roots and global release

The anime’s world has been building off the original work for a while. Hiromu and raemz debuted the light novel series in June 2019, and a novel volume 9.5 shipped in October 2025.
