Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria confirms its third season after an intense finale
The journey of Will Serfort continues with new challenges in the Wizard's Tower

The story of the boy who challenges a world ruled by magic despite lacking innate talent has reached a new turning point that will surely leave you satisfied, as the conclusion of the most recent broadcast brought with it the official confirmation of a third season for the anime Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria. After the twelfth episode aired, the production committee decided not to make the fans wait any longer and released a celebratory visual along with a short promotional video that anticipates the continuation of this adaptation produced by the studios Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. This news comes at a time when the franchise is experiencing significant growth, especially since the first season captured the audience's attention during the Summer 2024 season, followed by a second installment that debuted on April 12.

The expansion of the universe of Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi

It is interesting to note how the work of Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi has managed to establish itself in a very competitive market since its serialization began in the Bessatsu Shounen Magazine back in December 2020. I remember when I first heard about this manga, it felt like a fresh breeze in the fantasy genre, and seeing that Kodansha has already reached the 15th volume in Japan confirms that the interest of the readers is still very high, ya pues, it is not every day that a series manages to maintain this level of production speed. In addition to the main manga, the universe has expanded with the prequel light novel titled Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria Grimo Acta: Hajimari no Namida, which deeper explores the origins of this world and has been being published since July 2024 with illustrations by Yuunagi.
Current status of the franchise in the international market
- The manga is licensed in English by Kodansha USA, with the 12th volume available since March 31.
- The prequel light novel has been acquired by Yen Press for its distribution in the West.
- The anime is available on Crunchyroll with subtitles and dubbing in several languages.
- The 15th volume of the manga was released in Japan on April 9.
A promise that defies the laws of magic
The plot that you have been following places us in a world where humanity was once cornered by the Celestial Hosts, leading the five most powerful mages, the Magia Vander, to create a protective dome and a tower to keep the peace. Within this context, we meet Will Serfort and Elfaria Albis Serfort, childhood friends who swore to reach the top of that tower together, although the path has been radically different for both of them. While Elfaria achieved a position among the Magia Vander five years ago due to her immense power, Will remains a student at the Regarden Magic Academy without any magical ability, which makes him the target of constant bullying from his peers. However, his physical strength and his skill with the sword allow him to compensate for his lack of mana, facing monsters in the labyrinth in a way that is quite bacán to watch.
Have you already seen the latest episodes to understand where the next season will start? If you haven't finished the second season yet, I recommend you catch up on the official platforms so you don't miss any details of this announcement. Please share your expectations for the return of Will and his sword in the comments and stay tuned for future updates regarding the release date of the third season.
