Trapped in a Dating Sim Season 2: New PV, Key Visual, and July Premiere Unveiled
Leon's Revolution Continues - Dive into the New Promotional Video and Character Reveals for the Otome Game World

Your heart races, doesn't it? The world where women reign supreme and beautiful men hold all the power is coming back. Kadokawa just dropped the first promotional video and a stunning key visual for the second season of Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs. The premiere is set for July. Feel that excitement bubbling up? I remember watching the first season and being completely hooked by Leon's defiant spirit.
A Glimpse into the Coming Storm

The new key visual, crafted by character designer Masahiko Suzuki, sets the tone. It's a promise of more chaos, more revolution, and more of Leon's quest for that quiet countryside life. The promotional video is your first real look into the battles ahead. Can you imagine the strategies he'll deploy this time?
The Voices Returning to the Fight
They've unveiled new character visuals for the returning cast. Their voices are the anchors of this world.
The returning cast includes:
- Akira Ishida as the enigmatic Luxion
- Kenichi Suzumura as Julius Rapha Holfort
- Kōsuke Toriumi as Jilk Fia Marmoria
- Shinnosuke Tachibana as Brad Fou Field
- Kōji Yusa as Chris Fia Arclight
- Nobuyuki Hiyama as Greg Fou Seberg
Seeing their faces again feels like reuniting with old friends, ready to dive back into the struggle.
The Core of Leon's Journey
An office worker reborn into a brutal dating sim game—that's the premise that caught you, right? Leon uses his memories of a complete past-life playthrough to spark a revolution. His ultimate goal is simple: a peaceful life in the countryside. But the path is a battlefield. Seven Seas publishes the light novels in English, and they capture that desperate, clever energy perfectly.
The Team Bringing the World to Life
The director, Kazuya Miura, returns to helm the second season at ENGI. Kenta Ihara is back overseeing the series scripts. Masahiko Suzuki, as character designer and chief animation director, ensures the world looks as sharp as its conflicts. New faces join the fight too: Tetsuya Watanabe as CG director and Shin'ichi Komeya taking over as compositing director of photography. The team is a fortress, building this universe for you.
The Story Beyond the Anime
Yomu Mishima's original story began on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2017. Micro Magazine's GC Novels imprint published it with illustrations by Monda. The novel series concluded with its 13th volume in March 2024. The journey is complete, but the anime adaptation is breathing new life into it.
The manga adaptation has its own epic tale. Launched by Jun Shiosato, it moved across several Kadokawa sites before settling in Monthly Dragon Age. It even relaunched in August 2025 as Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai Desu Ryūgaku-hen (Study Abroad Arc) with new staff. Shiosato clarified it was a surrender to the project's future scale, not discord. The first volume of this new arc shipped in January. Seven Seas also publishes the manga in English.
There's even a spinoff novel series, Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of That Otome Game Is Tough for Us, and a manga adaptation by Renji Fukuhara. The universe is expanding like a rebellion spreading across a kingdom.
The first season aired in April 2022, streamed by Crunchyroll with an English dub. Now, the second season approaches. Are you ready to watch Leon challenge that unfair world again? The key visual and PV are your call to arms. Dive in.
