The rom-com The Dangers in My Heart will have a third season

Fantasizing about eliminating your classmates is a dark phase that many introverted teenagers go through. Transforming those dark thoughts into a genuine romance is the real twist in this story. This Saturday, the production of a third season was announced for the anime adaptation of the manga of romantic comedy written and illustrated by Norio Sakurai, Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu (The Dangers in My Heart). The TV Asahi network publicly announced the project and set its television premiere for the year 2027.

The revelation was made known during a special live event where the technical staff took the stage to greet the attendees. To celebrate the news, the character designer Masato Katsumata published an unpublished promotional illustration of the protagonists. At the production level, the steering committee confirmed that the Shin-Ei Animation studio will resume control of the animation. This decision ensures maintaining the same visual identity and humorous tone that characterized the previous installments.

About the Work

Norio Sakurai began serializing this work through the magazines Weekly Shonen Champion, Champion Cross, and Manga Cross of the publisher Akita Shoten in March 2018. The main manga officially concluded with the release of its compiled volume number 14. The animated franchise has two previous seasons of 12 and 13 episodes respectively, in addition to a movie released in Japanese theaters on February 13, 2026. There is currently a spin-off manga in publication titled Love Comedy ga Hajimaranai, drawn by Haika Nanasaka, which released its first volume at the beginning of January of this same year.
