About the work
The story conceived by Almond was originally born as a web novel on the popular site Shosetsuka ni Naro. Its success allowed the publisher Earth Star Entertainment to release a printed version illustrated by Yoshiro Ambe, which concluded its serialization with its fourth volume in June 2023. Simultaneously, the franchise features a successful manga adaptation illustrated by Yona Etou that continues publication since April 2022, achieving a large international fanbase thanks to its blend of political intrigue and fantasy romance.
The Oblivious Saint Can't Contain Her Power Synopsis
The plot introduces us to Carolina, the youngest daughter of an influential duke and prime minister who has always lived under the constant glow of her family. While her older sister is hailed as a prodigy mage destined to become the nation's next Saint, Carolina sees herself as the black sheep, lacking any special talent and resigned to an irrelevant life. However, her peace is shattered when a royal order forces her into a political marriage with Prince Edward, nicknamed the "Bloody Prince" of the Malcosias Empire. Forced to leave her home and face a hostile and unknown environment, Carolina will begin to manifest, completely unconsciously, an overwhelming amount of sacred power that could change the balance of power across the continent.
With Carolina underestimating herself despite her growing miracles, do you think her honest humility will be enough to earn the respect of a court that only believes in the brute strength of the Bloody Prince?
