This reverse isekai romantic comedy will add a new and chaotic romance to its ranks. This Friday, the official website for the anime adaptation of the popular manga Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life (Hanaori-san Mada Tsugi no Inochi de Tatakaitai) released a new video teaser and a beautiful promotional image. The announcement officially confirmed that the series will begin its broadcast on Japanese television during the upcoming July 2026 season.

The complex and fun task of animating this transition from magical powers to mundane school life falls into the talented hands of studio LIDEN FILMS. The general direction of the project is led by Hideyo Yamamoto, supported in the narrative by Yukie Sugawara, who takes charge of the series' script composition. The character designs, which blend casual attire with vestiges of fantasy, are adapted for the screen by Yosuke Okuda. To provide dynamism to the comedy and light action situations, the soundtrack is being composed by the brilliant duo of Yukari Hashimoto and R.O.N.

Synopsis of Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life

The plot revolves around a former and ruthless Demon King and the brave Heroine who managed to defeat him in a fantasy world on the brink of destruction. After losing their lives in their final battle, both are miraculously reincarnated in contemporary Japan, retaining all their memories. The former ruler of darkness now goes by the name Ryusei Narukami, a young adult prone to extreme laziness who ends up getting a job as a teacher at a local high school. For her part, the legendary heroine is reborn as Meteor Hanaori, a student enrolled in the same school where Ryusei teaches. In an unexpected twist of fate, the former mortal enemies end up involved in a romantic relationship, trying to lead an ordinary life of dating and school responsibilities while jealously hiding their true identities. However, the past refuses to stay buried, and their old magical powers often spiral out of control, causing situations that are as dangerous as they are funny in their daily lives.
