The legendary Toaru franchise is ready to reclaim its throne on television. This Thursday, the production committee behind the anime adaptation of the light novel series A Certain Item of Dark Side (Toaru Anbu no Item), officially confirmed that the series will begin its broadcast in the Fall 2026 season. The announcement was accompanied by a vibrant video teaser introducing the five central figures of this story.

The execution of this ambitious project has been entrusted once again to studio J.C.STAFF, guaranteeing the visual continuity that fans expect from Academy City. Direction is handled by veteran Tatsuyuki Nagai, a key piece in the franchise's previous success, while Shigeki Kimoto is in charge of adapting the character designs for the screen. To envelop the atmosphere of conspiracies and high-level battles, composer Maiko Iuchi returns to create the original soundtrack.
