We just got a fresh drop of anime news, and pucha, it lands with a nice little boom: the TV anime adaptation of Romelia Senki: Maou wo Taoshita Ato mo Jinrui Yabasou dakara Guntai Soshiki shita (also known as A History of the Romelia) is officially set to premiere in 2026. And yes—along with the date window, the production revealed the main cast and the core staff.

We’re putting it on our watchlist already. It’s giving that “after the big bad is gone, the real chamba begins” energy. And honestly, we love stories that don’t stop at the victory lap.

Where the story started: novel and manga timeline

This title began life as an action-fantasy web novel in August 2019. The light novel edition launched in June 2020 under Shogakukan’s Gagaga Books label with illustrations by Kodama, and it reached six volumes as of November 2025.

On the manga side, Ryou Kamito started the adaptation in April 2021 on the Manga Doa app. Mag Garden shipped volume 5 in November 2025. For English readers, Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in March 2025, with volume 1 released on January 13 and volume 2 scheduled for April 27.

We’ll be tracking any new trailers, visuals, and extra cast reveals. Save this one, share it with your anime crew, and tell us: do we jump into the manga now, or do we wait like disciplined soldiers until 2026?
