Murciélago Anime Official Announcement: A Bloodbath is Coming
Kuroko Koumori and Hinako Tozakura prepare for their violent television debut in 2027

We have news from Los Angeles. The Anime Expo 2026 has been the stage for a major reveal. We finally know that Murciélago, the intense manga by Kana Yoshimura, will have its own television anime. This story is not for the faint of heart. We are talking about a world where the line between justice and madness is very thin. It is time to prepare for some girls' love action mixed with a high body count.
The Executioners in Charge

The plot introduces us to Kuroko Koumori. She is not your typical protagonist. She has killed 715 people. Yes, you read that right. Instead of facing the death penalty, she becomes a State-Appointed Executioner. We find her working alongside Hinako Tozakura. Hinako loves speed and Ferraris. Together, they hunt down serial killers who are even worse than them. It is a chaotic and explosive duo.

We love a good contrast in characters. Here is what we know about this pair:
- Kuroko: A lascivious lesbian with a genius for murder.
- Hinako: A happy-go-lucky driver who ignores gravity.
- The Goal: Cleaning the streets using the most violent methods possible.
A Team Ready for Action
We have seen the first teaser visual and the staff list. The project is in good hands. Takashi Naoya takes the lead as Chief Director and handles the series composition. We also have Matsuo Asami as Director. The animation will be a collaboration between Satelight and Staple Entertainment. We expect high-quality fights and very sharp character designs by Kiyoshi Tateishi.
The music will be composed by Masanori Akita and Yuuichi Tsuchiya. We can already imagine the heavy beats during the chase scenes. The Murciélago manga has been running since 2013 in Young Gangan. It has a long history and many fans waiting for this moment. We will have to wait until 2027 to see it on screen. It feels like a long time, but for Kuroko, time is just another tool. Is it a bit crazy to hire a mass murderer to catch other murderers? Probably. Is it fun? Absolutely.
The Legacy of Kana Yoshimura
We are looking at a story with 28 volumes already published by Square Enix. It is a massive world of crime and dark humor. We find it hilarious that Hinako calls a mass murderer "Kuu-chan" while they are surrounded by blood. That is the Madrid spirit: finding humor in the most intense situations! We are sure this adaptation will keep that edgy and provocative tone that made the manga famous.
Do you think a criminal can truly serve justice, or is it just an excuse for more chaos? What is your opinion on this dark duo?
