The historical comedy fantasy manga is heading to NHK E-Tele in October 2026, with J.C.Staff leading the charge.

We just got tasty news for our anime watchlist: Marronnier Oukoku no Shichinin no Kishi is officially getting a TV anime. And pucha, it already feels like a medieval parade is warming up in the distance.
The announcement arrived with an official website, the main staff lineup, and a teaser visual to set the mood. The series is scheduled to premiere on NHK E-Tele in October 2026.

Release window and the team behind the anime
We’re looking at a solid production crew, the kind that shows up like a well-armored squad. Here’s the confirmed main staff:
- Director: Kiyoko Sayama
- Series Composition / Script: Shinzou Fujita
- Character Design: Yuriko Maeda
- Sound Director: Jin Aketagawa
- Music: Yoshiaki Fujisawa
- Studio: J.C.Staff
Honestly, that’s a mostro lineup for a story that mixes comedy, romance, and adventure. Now we wait… like knights outside a castle, but with snacks.
The story setup: seven brothers, one dream, lots of chaos
At the center of a continent with eight nations sits the Marronnier Kingdom, ruled by the female general Barbaria and her seven sons. They’re all wildly different, but they share one very specific dream: to rescue a princess in the coolest way possible.
Then the chamba begins. The brothers get dispatched as envoys to seven foreign lands, where they run into unknown trials, strange encounters, and a destiny that’s still cooking.
About the manga (and where to follow updates)
Nao Iwamoto started the manga in Flowers in September 2016. Volume 10 shipped in June 2025, and volume 11 is scheduled for June 10.
