Kindergarten Wars Anime Reveals New Trailer and Confirms 2027 Premiere
The explosive comedy about ex-yakuzas working as babysitters confirms its release for Spring 2027.

Protecting a group of preschoolers requires infinite patience, but when the educators are former underworld criminals, childhood tantrums become the least of their problems. The most explosive action comedy of recent years is preparing its classrooms for its debut. This Saturday, the production committee behind the anime adaptation of the hit manga, Kindergarten Wars (Yochien Senso), released a new video teaser. The hilarious footage officially confirmed that the series will begin its broadcast on Japanese television during the Spring 2027 season.

Although the specific animation studio remains under wraps, the production has ensured that the project is in the hands of the same team responsible for other successful series that blend frantic action with comedy. The new trailer gave fans a better look at the hilarious situations and the perfect contrast between the adorable preschool children and the lethal combat skills of their tough caregivers, maintaining the dynamic visual style of the original work.
The announcement stood out especially for revealing new additions to the main voice cast (seiyuu), adding heavyweight voices in the industry to portray the school staff:
- Takuya Eguchi as the Kindergarten Principal.
Renowned actor (famous for playing Loid Forger in Spy x Family) who will lend his voice to the leader and ultimate authority of this peculiar and dangerous educational institution.
- Yuma Uchida as a Teacher.
Talented seiyuu who joins the project to play one of the tough ex-criminals who now spends his days teaching crafts and protecting the little ones.
- Kaito Ishikawa as a Staff Member.
The voice tasked with bringing to life another of the lethal yet caring employees who guard the facilities against any external threats.
About the work
The mangaka known as Yuichi began publishing this story in 2022, and it quickly became a viral phenomenon within reading platforms thanks to its unusual but brilliant premise. The work, which is currently ongoing, has won the hearts of readers by masterfully balancing tender scenes of kindergarten life with over-the-top action sequences in the purest style of mob movies. This adaptation marks the first time that the chaotic lives of these ex-yakuza teachers reach the small screen.
Kindergarten Wars Synopsis
The story follows a motley group of fearsome former yakuza members and hitmen who have decided to leave their violent criminal lives behind to seek redemption. Their new calling leads them to work as teachers and maintenance staff at a seemingly peaceful kindergarten. Their only goal now is to lead a normal, quiet, and honest life while caring for and educating the adorable infants in their charge. However, the past never forgives, and old rivals, enemy mobs, and assassins begin to attack the facility. Mixing incredibly touching moments with absurd comedy and fights to the death, these tough ex-gangsters will have to learn to deal with tantrums, demanding parents, and diaper changes, all while gunning down intruders on the playground to ensure the children have a safe and fun day.
Considering the dark criminal past of these teachers, how do you think they will react when they have to deal peacefully with an angry parent complaining because their child scraped their knee during recess?
