Fate/strange Fake anime reveals trailer for its continuation at AnimeJapan
The acclaimed magic and historical battle series reveals a new trailer for the continuation of its story

Historical summons, treacherous alliances, and a battle to the death on American soil are the ingredients that keep this franchise as one of the most legendary in the industry. The most unpredictable magical war of all is ready to resume its carnage. This Friday, during a presentation panel at the acclaimed AnimeJapan 2026 event, the production committee behind the anime adaptation of Fate/strange Fake released an exciting new trailer. The footage, accompanied by a striking promotional image, served to officially confirm the imminent continuation of the television series that began its broadcast earlier this year.

Although the exact release date for the new episodes is still being kept under wraps, the trailer screened at the event left fans breathless by showing fast-paced action sequences and much more intense battles that directly continue the events of the first part. The production committee assured that the same animation studio in charge of bringing the previous chapters to life will take the reins of the project, guaranteeing the return of most of the original technical team to keep the dark atmosphere, high visual quality, and frantic pace of the work intact.
The new promotional image highlights the imposing poses of the competitors, reaffirming the on-screen participation of key figures within this chaotic sorcery tournament, such as:
- Flat Escardos.
The mysterious, eccentric, and prodigious young mage who becomes involved in the deadly fights of Snowfield, bringing an air of unpredictability to the tournament.
- Flat's Servant.
The powerful historical entity summoned by the young mage, whose identity and skills will play a crucial role in the battles of the new season.
About the work
This fascinating story was born from the brilliant mind of author Ryohgo Narita (world-famous for creating works such as Baccano! and Durarara!!), expanding the massive literary and visual universe of TYPE-MOON. Originally published as a series of light novels, this entry has earned a reputation for being one of the most complex, mature, and gripping plots in the entire franchise due to its vast cast of characters and the absence of traditional rules in its tournament. After the overwhelming success of its first animated episodes, the confirmation of this continuation was one of the most anticipated announcements of the convention.
Fate/strange Fake Synopsis
The plot takes us to the city of Snowfield, located in the western United States, where a mysterious magical organization has managed to imperfectly copy the original ritual from Fuyuki City to carry out its own Holy Grail War. This lethal tournament brings together powerful mages (Masters) who summon spirits of historical and mythological figures (Servants) to fight to the death in order to obtain an artifact capable of granting any wish. However, being a "fake" and flawed ritual, traditional rules are completely broken: unusual Servant classes appear, alliances become chaotic, and dark forces pull the strings from the shadows. Amidst this urban carnage, characters like the unpredictable Flat Escardos must use all their wit and destructive power to survive a war where no one is who they seem to be.
Considering the unpredictable rules of this fake Holy Grail War in Snowfield, what kind of historical hero or mythological figure would you like to see unleashing their destructive power in the upcoming episodes?
