Sometimes, trying to save a few bucks can turn out extremely expensive, especially when it comes to making a good cosplay for a school event. Social media has just crowned a new viral protagonist: a boy in Argentina who, after attending a costume party, found himself literally trapped in the body of the Emperor of Evil himself, Frieza. And no, it’s not a curse from the Dragon Ball universe, but rather a disastrous (and somewhat comical) decision made by his mother when choosing materials.

The dangerous mistake of using wall paint

To achieve the villain's iconic fourth form, with his immaculate white skin and purple details, the family decided to take the easy and cheap route: using conventional latex paint designed for home interiors. They naively thought that, with a little soap and water, the color would just wash down the drain at the end of the party. The reality was very different. In the videos that are now going around the internet, the poor boy can be heard, completely painted, desperately asking what they can use to get it off, even suggesting a dangerous industrial chemical solvent to remove the color from his skin.

Laughter, memes, and a valuable lesson for the fandom

As expected, the community showed no mercy. While a large part of the fandom joked that they would need to gather the Dragon Balls to return him to normal, many other users expressed genuine concern. Experts took the opportunity to remind everyone that chemicals in hardware store products can cause severe irritation and allergies, so specialized body makeup should always be used. To date, it is not known for sure how they managed to clean the young warrior, but this anecdote will remain marked in the history of the worst otaku accidents.

Knowing that parents often don't realize the risks of using household materials on the skin, do you think cosplay tutorial creators should place more emphasis on health warnings to avoid these types of tragic comedies?
