Charisma Anime Reveals Cast and Release Date for January 2027
The peculiar comedy about a group of eccentric young men sharing a house confirms its premiere for January 2027.

Surviving life under the same roof with other people is already a massive challenge, but when your roommates are the literal incarnations of extreme personalities, daily life turns into hilarious chaos. The successful multimedia 2D franchise is ready to make its definitive leap to the small screen. This weekend, the production committee behind the anime adaptation of the Charisma project shared important updates. Through an official statement, the full list of the technical team and the main voice cast was revealed, confirming that the series will begin broadcasting in Japan during January 2027 on the TBS network.


The animation of this eccentric cohabitation will be handled by the studio Pierrot Films. The lead director's chair has been filled by veteran Joji Furuta. To ensure the original essence remains intact, the creator of the franchise himself, Shu Matsubara, will be in charge of writing and structuring every single script for the series. The charismatic character designs, originally created by artist Ebimo, are being adapted for the television format. On the musical side, the Evil Line Records label will continue to manage the sound production for the project.
The announcement stood out especially for the introduction of the talents that will make up the unusual main seiyuu cast, each representing a dominant personality trait:
- Katsumi Fukuhara as Iori Motohashi.
Voice actor in charge of bringing to life the disciplined young man who represents the charisma of obedience.
- Genki Okawa as Terra.
Voice that will embody the eccentric and vain resident bearer of the unwavering charisma of self-love.
- Masahiro Yamanaka as Rikai Kusanagi.
Seiyuu who will play the methodical and controlling character defined by the charisma of order.
- Kenta Hosoda as Kei Sarukawa.
Vocal talent responsible for representing the group's most troublesome side with the charisma of rebellion.
- Saku Hyuga as Ohse Minato.
Actor lending his voice to the complex and tormented young man tied to the dark charisma of self-punishment.
- Tomohisa Hashizume as Amahiko Tendo.
Voice in charge of giving life to the seductive and inappropriate inhabitant who holds the charisma of sex.
- Yuki Ono as Fumiya Ito.
Renowned actor world-famous for voicing Josuke Higashikata in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, playing the enigmatic charisma of good and evil.
About the work
Unlike traditional adaptations of manga or novels, Charisma was born in 2021 as an ambitious 2D multimedia project driven by the music label Evil Line Records and the company Dazed. The franchise quickly built a solid and passionate fan base thanks to its constant musical releases, voice dramas, and massive live concerts. The undeniable success of the project led to the launch of two successful manga adaptations published in Japanese magazines between 2023 and 2024, paving the way for its imminent debut on Japanese television.
Charisma Synopsis
The story invites us inside the walls of a peculiar shared house inhabited by seven completely unique men. Each of these extravagant residents possesses an overwhelming "charisma"; that is, a personality trait or gift so extreme that it completely defines their way of being and acting in the world. From blind obedience to absolute rebellion, passing through excessive self-love and obsessive order, the seven young men must learn to live together under the same roof, sharing daily chores and kitchen space. Amidst hilarious and ridiculous personality clashes in their daily lives, the group will find a way to combine their unusual talents to achieve goals and dreams much bigger than they ever imagined.
