Yowaki MAX Reijō nanoni Anime Sets October 4 Premiere with New Cast and Theme Songs

We already have a date on the calendar, and pucha, this one is moving fast. The TV anime of Hiro Oda's Yowaki MAX Reijō nanoni, Ratsuwan Konyakusha-sama no Kake ni Notte Shimatta is set to premiere on October 4. Kadokawa also dropped a new promotional video, a new key visual, and a few more names for the cast. The whole package is coming in with that shiny rom-com energy, like a box of chocolates with one suspiciously dramatic piece inside.

New cast members join the story

The latest announcement adds three more voices to the lineup. And yes, the cast is growing nicely, like a chamba crew that keeps picking up more hands right before launch.

Theme songs bring the heat

The opening theme song is “Gōki MAX Sengen” by Konomi Suzuki. The ending theme is “Yoake Made ni” by Miku Itō. The newly released video previews both tracks, so we can already get a taste of the mood. It has that sweet and tense mix, like a romance trying to behave itself and failing beautifully.

What does that mean for the anime? It means the soundtrack is aiming to carry both the comedy and the heart. That combo is mostro when it lands well.

Broadcast and streaming plans

The anime will air first on AT-X on October 4 at 11:30 p.m.. Later that night, it will also appear on channels like Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, and BS Asahi, among others.

For streaming in Japan, the series will be available on d Anime Store, Hulu, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai starting on October 4 at 24:00, which is basically October 5 at 12:00 a.m. A neat little midnight rollout. Very anime. Very dramatic. Very “stay up or lose the plot.”

Who is making the anime

The production team is stacking up with familiar names. The adaptation is being directed by Nobuaki Nakanishi at Jumondo. Hiroko Fukuda is handling the series composition, while Moe Hyūga and Natsuki Hamada are in charge of the music at Kadokawa.

This setup gives the series a solid backbone. Clean direction, strong writing, and music with enough emotional punch to hit us right in the kokoro. A good combo, like ají with rice. Simple, but it works.

What the story is about

The romantic comedy follows Pia, an ordinary graduate student who gets reincarnated as a 10-year-old background villainess in an otome game. She remembers how the story is supposed to end: her engagement to the prime minister's son, Rufus Stan, gets cancelled, and she is banished from the land.

So Pia decides to take action early. She asks Rufus to break off the engagement while they are still young. But Rufus does not make things easy for her. Instead, her request only catches his attention more, and he challenges her with a bet about whether he will really call off the engagement in seven years.

That setup is pure trouble. Cute trouble, but trouble anyway. The kind that makes romance fans lean in like, “pucha, this is going to get complicated, and we love it.”

From web novel to manga to anime

Hiro Oda started the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in January 2020. The early version had nine chapters and ended with two epilogue chapters. Later, Kadokawa began publishing the light novels with illustrations by Tsubasa.v in August 2020.

The seventh volume shipped in April 2024, and the story has also grown with extra short stories and spin-offs online. On the manga side, Aji Murata launched an adaptation in 2021 on Comic Walker as part of Kadokawa's Flos Comic site. The manga's fifth compiled volume was published on February 16.

The whole project has reached 1.2 million copies in circulation. That is not small potatoes. That is a proper crowd.
