Toyotaro breaks the silence: The Dragon Ball Super manga will return soon

Being left with half a story for over a year is torture for any Japanese comic reader. This Saturday, within the manga fan community, illustrator Toyotaro broke a very long silence by updating his official online profile to confirm that the return of Dragon Ball Super is finally a reality.

A direct message in English and Japanese

The artist didn't beat around the bush. Out of nowhere, he changed his account biography to write a crystal-clear phrase in both Japanese and English: "Everything is for the return of the series." Basically, he is telling all otakus that he is currently locked in, working around the clock to publish new chapters and continue Goku's adventures.

The weight of continuing the legend

To understand why this is so exciting, we must remember that this famous shonen has been on hiatus since early 2025. Following the sad passing of the original creator Akira Toriyama in 2024, Toyotaro tried to continue drawing the story on his own for a while, but eventually, the monthly magazine had to halt publication.
