Asumadre, time really flies when you are jumping between dimensions. We have some bittersweet news for the fans of Thunder 3. The wild ride created by Yuki Ikeda is officially reaching its destination. After a journey full of bizarre aliens and superpowered schoolboys, the manga will publish its final chapter very soon. We feel a mix of sadness and excitement because, while the paper story ends, the screens are just about to light up.

The end of a multiversal journey

Everything has its end, even a trip to a hyper-realistic parallel universe. The June issue of Monthly Shonen Magazine confirmed that the Thunder 3 manga will conclude in the next issue, scheduled for June 5. Pucha, it feels like only yesterday when we started following Pyontaro and his friends. This series has been a rollercoaster, especially after it entered its climax in early 2025.

It hasn't been an easy path for the author. We remember that the manga had to take a break in March 2025 because of Ikeda's health issues. Luckily, the creator returned with everything in February to give us the closure we deserve. It is a real chamba to finish a story while taking care of yourself, so we really appreciate the effort to complete this mostro of a manga.

What makes Thunder 3 special?

  • The contrast between cartoonish designs and a realistic world.
  • A simple DVD that acts as a portal to chaos.
  • The desperate mission to rescue little Futaba.
  • Ordinary kids becoming literal supermen in another realm.

A new beginning on television

Don't cry just yet! While the manga is saying goodbye, the anime is warming up its engines. The television adaptation of Thunder 3 is set to premiere this July. It will be part of the +Ultra programming block on Fuji TV and other channels. It is the perfect timing, right? We finish reading the volume and immediately jump into the animation. It is like a relay race where the baton is passed from the pen to the digital brush.

Are you ready to see the visual clash of styles in motion? We bet it will look amazing. If you haven't caught up with the Kodansha releases, now is the time to run to your favorite bookstore. Don't let the aliens catch you off guard! Tell us, are you excited for the finale or are you more hyped for the anime premiere? Check out the latest volumes and get ready for July!
