A Tale of the Secret Saint Anime Confirms October 3 Premiere and Adds Kikunosuke Toya

The wait is finally taking shape. A Tale of the Secret Saint has locked in its TV anime premiere for October 3, and the new promotional video also brings another cast update with it. This time, Kikunosuke Toya steps into the story as Curtis Bannister, the captain of the 13th Knight Brigade.

For fans who have been holding this title close, this news lands like a small light in the night. The series had been pushed back from April to October, with the staff explaining that the delay was meant to help deliver a more enjoyable final work. October debut and streaming rollout

The anime will begin airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 on October 3 at 10:00 p.m. In Japan, Sun TV will follow at 10:30 p.m., while AT-X starts broadcasting the show on October 5.

Streaming will also move quickly. ABEMA and Amazon Prime Video will launch the first two episodes on October 3 at 10:00 p.m. After that, each new episode will stream one week before its television broadcast in Japan. That kind of schedule can feel like getting the key before the door fully opens.

Main staff behind the anime

The series has built strong momentum over the years. It ranked second in both the 2025 and 2024 editions of Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! in the tankōbon and novel rankings. The manga adaptation by Mahito Aobe began in Comic Earth Star in November 2019.

The world of the series also kept expanding. Seven Seas is releasing the prequel novels A Tale of the Secret Saint ZERO in English. That prequel line started in Japan in July 2022, and its manga adaptation by Shiina launched in October 2023.

At this point, the franchise has surpassed 3.5 million copies in circulation. That number says a lot. The story is no longer a whisper. It has become a voice people keep following.
