Seven Sleeping Beauties Anime: Studio Gokumi & AXsiZ SMASH Reveal Cast & 2027 Debut
Fiok Lee's Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation with All-Star Voice Cast Announced

Get ready to wake up to some major anime news, compa! The classic fairy tale just got a wild, new-school twist. The manga Seven Sleeping Beauties (Shichinin no Nemuri-hime) by Fiok Lee is officially getting a television anime adaptation, and it's slated to debut in 2027. A teaser website dropped this bombshell, along with a super teaser visual and the full main cast lineup. This ain't your abuela's bedtime story.
The Dream Team Behind the Curse
So what's the deal? The story kicks off in the tiny kingdom of Amaryllis. A witch's curse hits the entire population, putting every single person into a deep, magical sleep. Enter Alec, the third prince from a neighboring kingdom. He rides in, ready to be the hero and save the people, including the kingdom's princess. Classic prince stuff, right? Wrong.
When he finds the princess to break the spell with a kiss, he gets the shock of his life. There aren't one princess. There are SEVEN. And the curse's condition? He's gotta kiss all of them to wake them up. Talk about a princely predicament! The original manga creator, Fiok Lee, even drew a special illustration to celebrate the anime announcement.
Meet the Seven Sleeping Princesses
The voice cast they've assembled is no joke. It's a powerhouse lineup of seiyuu talent ready to bring these sleepy royals to life:
Aya Yamane takes on the role of Flora.
Yoshino Aoyama voices Kiara.
Miku Itō is Claire.
Ayasa Itō steps in as Mia.
Kana Ichinose will be Charlotte.
Fūka Izumi plays Yūka.
Rina Kawaguchi rounds out the seven as Eliza.
That's a lot of star power for one cursed castle. You can bet each princess will have a distinct personality that'll make Alec's "quest" anything but simple.
The Brains Making the Magic
Who's steering this enchanted ship? Directing the anime is Mankyū, the creative force behind hits like The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors and Migi & Dali. They're working with a collaboration between Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ SMASH.
Handling the series scripts is Keiichirō Ōchi, the writer known for The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten and Under Ninja. And designing the characters is Masaru Koseki, whose work you might recognize from The Dreaming Boy Is a Realist or World’s End Harem.
From Manga Pages to Anime Frames
Fiok Lee's original manga started its run in Kodansha's Afternoon12th volume set for release on July 16, 2024.
So mark your calendars for 2027, gente. This is shaping up to be a romantic fantasy comedy with a premise that's equal parts charming and chaotic. Will Prince Alec manage to wake all seven princesses? What drama awaits in a kingdom that's been asleep for years? We'll have to wait and see, but the talent behind it promises one heck of a show.
