The clock is ticking, and the wait is almost over. The television anime adaptation of Nachi Aono's I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day (Kimi ga Shinu made Koi wo Shitai) manga just dropped a bombshell of new info. We've got a fresh promotional video, a stunning key visual, the theme song artists, and the premiere date. Mark your calendars for July 7.

A Symphony of Love and Death

Get ready for some powerful tunes. The opening theme, "Amore," will be performed by the incredible ReoNa. For the ending, sajou no hana brings us "Éternel"—that's French for "eternal," a perfect fit for this story. The new PV gives you a taste of both songs, setting the tone for the emotional rollercoaster ahead.

When and Where to Watch

The journey begins on AT-X at 9:30 p.m. JST (8:30 a.m. EDT) on July 7. It'll then air on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, and BS11 at 24:30 JST (so, technically July 8 at 12:30 a.m.). Set those reminders, you don't want to miss the first episode.

The Story: A Girl Who Loves Life, A Girl Who Welcomes Death

Let's break down this wild plot. Imagine an orphanage that's less about hugs and more about forging human weapons. That's where Sheena lives. All the girls are trained killers, numb to death—except Sheena. She just wants the fighting to stop.

Everything changes the night her roommate dies. She meets a strange, blood-covered girl named Mimi, who's smiling amid the chaos. The next day, Mimi shows up in Sheena's class. Whispers say she's the orphanage's secret weapon: an immortal who cannot die.

Guess who becomes Sheena's new roommate? Yep, Mimi. Now Sheena, who wants to prevent death, has to live with someone who loves and welcomes it. Talk about complicated roomie dynamics.

The Voices Bringing It to Life

The cast is locked and loaded:

This crew is ready to deliver the angst and the heart.

The Brains Behind the Animation

The staff has some shifts from the earlier pilot film. Yasushi Tomoda is now directing at studio ROLL2. Takudai Kakuchi, who directed the pilot, is on board as the creative advisor. The series scripts are supervised and written by Jukki Hanada (you know his work from Love Live! and Sound! Euphonium).

Kyoko Yufu is handling the character designs, and the music is composed by Yukari Hashimoto. The production is led by Infinite with support from EVOLROAR.

About the Manga

Nachi Aono started this yuri manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine back in 2018. It's now serialized on the Ichijin Plus website. The ninth volume hits shelves in Japan on July 16, and a volume of side stories was released earlier this year. If you're itching to read it in English, Kodansha USA has you covered.

July can't come soon enough. Prepare for a story that asks: what does love mean when one person can live forever, and the other cannot?
