The original story by Nekoko began serialization on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2021. The print light novel edition, featuring illustrations by Jaian, launched in June 2022. Its fifth volume shipped on July 2.

The manga adaptation by Brocco Lee started in February 2022 on Kodansha's Yanmaga website. Later, it moved to Young Magazine in September 2024. The manga's 19th compiled volume is set to ship on October 6.
