Asumadre, time really flies! We just witnessed the 10th anniversary of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards and the energy was just mostro. From Tokyo to the world, the community gathered to celebrate those stories that keep us glued to the screen. We felt a mix of nostalgia and pure hype while watching the winners take home that special edition trophy. It was a true party for every otaku out there.

The big winner of the night

The spotlight belonged to My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON. Pucha, it’s been a long road for Deku and his friends, and seeing them win Anime of the Year feels like a well-deserved hug for the fans. This final stretch of the story managed to capture everyone's hearts, proving that being a hero is about more than just having powers. Did you vote for our favorite broccoli-haired boy or were you rooting for another candidate?

The ceremony was hosted by the charismatic Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira. We also saw some heavy hitters on stage, like Winston Duke and the legendary RZA, proving that anime is a global language that breaks all borders. To make things even better, the music was on another level with performances by Asian Kung-Fu Generation and the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. It was a total blast!

Celebrating legends and new favorites

One of the most emotional moments was the Global Impact Award. This year, the honor went to the late director Tatsuya Nagamine. His legacy in the industry is huge, and we are so happy his work is being recognized this way. He truly left an indelible mark on our hearts. Chamba well done, maestro.

Check out some of the most highlighted categories from the event:

  • Anime of the Year: My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON

  • Best Supporting Character: Katsuki Bakugo (My Hero Academia)
  • Best Action: Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-

We can't ignore the talent behind the mics. In the Latin Spanish category, Desireé González took the prize for her amazing work as Maomao in The Apothecary Diaries. Her performance was simply top-tier! On the technical side, DAN DA DAN Season 2 swept through with its unique style, proving that fresh animation is what the industry needs right now.
