In the charming town of Sakura New Town, an ordinary elementary schooler named Keita Amano stumbles upon a mysterious gachapon capsule machine and gains the Youkai Watch. This special device allows him to see the invisible world of Youkai, mischievous spirits and creatures that secretly influence everyday life.

With his ghostly butler companion, Whisper, and a growing roster of quirky Youkai friends like the loyal Jibanyan, Keita embarks on hilarious and heartwarming adventures. He uses his watch to befriend these supernatural beings, solve their problems, and uncover the mysteries hidden just beneath the surface of his seemingly normal town.
