Vapor Trail

Set in the year 2099, the anime Vapor Trail unfolds in a world locked in a desperate, twenty-year war. The conflict began in 2079 when a massive red humanoid entity, codenamed "Vacant", descended from space and seized humanity's great symbol of peace: the first orbital elevator. Humanity's last hope lies in the advanced, seventh-generation humanoid fighters known as "Seventh" units.

At the Yashima military base, a pilot named Miku takes to the skies in her unique black forward-wing fighter, the F/SX-02 Tenra. Her mission is deeply personal, as her aircraft's computer houses the personality data of Liza, a girl from her past with whom she shares an unbreakable bond. This yuri mecha story explores their profound connection as they fight not just for humanity's future, but for the chance to remain together.
