Shin Seiki Evangelion

In a future Tokyo-3, humanity struggles to survive after a cataclysmic event known as the Second Impact. To defend against mysterious and hostile beings called Angels, the secretive organization NERV deploys giant humanoid weapons known as Evangelions.

These complex machines can only be piloted by specially chosen teenagers, who must bear the immense psychological burden of combat. The anime focuses on Shinji Ikari, a deeply reluctant and isolated boy summoned by his estranged father to pilot Unit-01.
