In the heart of Edo, Ichitarou lives a secluded life as the master of the Nagasakiya estate. Frail in body but keen of mind, his world is far from ordinary, for he possesses the rare ability to perceive the spirit realm. He is constantly accompanied and protected by loyal supernatural companions, such as the wise Hakutaku and the fierce Inugami.

This delicate balance shatters when Ichitarou witnesses a horrific murder during a rare venture outside his home. Soon, a wave of mysterious and terrifying killings sweeps through the city, casting a deep shadow of fear over the populace. Ichitarou and his ghostly allies must now step into the darkness to unravel the truth behind the eerie murders, confronting supernatural threats that blur the line between the living and the dead.
