Set in the futuristic Neo Tokyo of Galaxy Century 0051, the anime RobiHachi follows the spectacularly unlucky freelance writer, Robby Yarge. Down on his luck in every aspect of life, Robby's troubles multiply when he meets Hatchi Kita, an earnest young man who initially helps him but is later revealed to be a part-time debt collector.

Forced into a chaotic cat-and-mouse chase, Robby makes a desperate bid for freedom, blasting off into space with the singular goal of reaching the legendary planet Isekandar, said to grant happiness to its visitors. His plan hits a snag when he discovers the tenacious Hatchi has stowed away on his ship. This unlikely and antagonistic duo is now stuck together on a raucous, genre-blending journey across the galaxy, encountering bizarre aliens and surreal adventures.

The anime is a vibrant sci-fi comedy that explores themes of fate, partnership, and the search for happiness through the lens of its utterly mismatched protagonists.
