Itsuki Tachibana, a rare student indifferent to gaming, finds himself thrust into the center of the controversy when the game faces a school review. To prove the game's merits, the diligent student council president, Rina Izumi, recruits Itsuki as her vice president with a unique mission.

The anime follows Itsuki as he must now dive into the virtual world of PSO2, balancing his academic life with his new in-game adventures.
