Patalliro Saiyuki!

The anime Patalliro Saiyuki! follows the perilous and often hilarious journey of Genjou Sanzou, a handsome and stoic Buddhist monk tasked by the Emperor with retrieving sacred scriptures from the West. His pilgrimage takes an extraordinary turn when he gains a divine companion: the mischievous and powerful Monkey Deity Son Goku, freed after five centuries of imprisonment.

Their quest soon assembles a most unconventional party, including the charming exorcist Cho Hakkai, the formidable heavenly general Sagojyou, and their noble steed, the Dragon Crown Prince Ryuuba. Together, this band of eccentric heroes must battle demons, navigate celestial politics, and survive each other's clashing personalities in a vibrant adventure blending fantasy, comedy, and bishounen aesthetics.
