Onigara

In the impoverished mountain village of Shiiba, a young man named Yosuke dreams of escaping his life of toil for unimaginable luxury. His desperate wish leads him to abandon his home and flee into the treacherous mountains, where he stumbles upon a terrifying and miraculous spectacle: a blue ogre transforming into a red ogre by shedding its skin.

Seizing what he believes is his chance, Yosuke steals the discarded ogre skin and dons it, using its monstrous power to commit crimes and fulfill his desires. However, the skin proves to be a curse as much as a blessing, binding itself to him irrevocably. The anime Onigara explores themes of greed, identity, and the monstrous consequences of one's choices, as Yosuke is forced to confront the true nature of the power he has stolen.
