In a future managed by the global AI Sapientia, peace on Earth is maintained by exiling its problems to the Moon. This lunar colony, burdened with humanity's outcasts and waste, becomes a crucible of resentment and rebellion.

The conflict erupts into the life of Jacob "Jack" Shadow, who loses everything to a terrorist attack. Consumed by a desire for vengeance, he joins the Earth forces operating on the Moon, only to find the reality of the war—and the enigmatic leader of the resistance—far more complex than he imagined.
