Egao no Taenai Shokuba desu.

Follow the charming and chaotic journey of Futami, a passionate but perpetually stressed newbie shojo manga artist. Her dream project, the shogi-themed romance Dear Subaru, is finally being published, but the reality of professional deadlines is far from the fantasy she imagined.

The anime humorously and relatably explores her struggles with creative blocks, anxiety-induced stomach aches, and the less-glamorous side of the industry. Through her experiences, Egao no Taenai Shokuba desu. delivers a heartfelt and comedic look at pursuing one's passion, the pressures of creation, and the quest to find joy in your work.
