BLEACH follows Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager with the unique ability to see ghosts. His ordinary life is shattered when he encounters Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami (Soul Reaper) tasked with protecting humanity from malevolent spirits known as Hollows.
During a desperate battle, Rukia is forced to transfer her powers to Ichigo, transforming him into a Substitute Soul Reaper. Now burdened with her duties, Ichigo must defend his town from supernatural threats while navigating the complex and perilous world of spirits that exists alongside his own.
