Vanguard officially announced this Friday the production of a new TV anime debuting in 2027, serving as the central project for its 15th anniversary.

Alongside this revelation, the company Bushiroad confirmed that the final arc of its current saga will not air on television, but will instead make the leap to the big screen. The anime movie, titled Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez The Fated Star Battle Arc, will serve as the definitive conclusion to this story and will premiere in Japanese theaters on October 2nd.

This series of announcements comes right after the most recent season, Phantom Star Battle Arc, aired its twelfth and final episode this Saturday morning on TV Tokyo networks. The protagonists must face each other in the Fated Clash, an absolute competition where the last fighter standing will earn the right to fulfill any deep desire of their heart. Since the 2027 TV anime will be a completely new story, the October film will mark the last time we see Akina in action.
