Otaku war on Discord: Users banned for calling Uma Musume girls "waifus"
Moderators of the official English server are banning fans who post heterosexual art or call the girls wives.

Wanting to share a drawing of your favorite character and ending up banned from the community is a nightmare for any player. This Monday, within the anime and video game community, the official English Discord server for Uma Musume Pretty Derby turned into a literal war zone after it was revealed that moderators are banning all users who call the famous horse girls "wives."
A dictatorship against waifus
The scandal exploded when dozens of players began reporting that the moderation team has taken a super authoritarian stance against the male audience. The new unwritten rules of the server are extreme: anyone who uploads romantic art between the Trainer (the game's male protagonist) and any of the girls is automatically punished. Furthermore, if an otaku happens to write the word "wife" or call their favorite character a waifu, their message is deleted in a matter of seconds.

The double standard of the rules
What truly infuriated the community was not just the censorship of their tastes, but the evident hypocrisy of the administrators. While traditional romances are strictly forbidden, server authorities openly allow and celebrate all art related to LGBTQ themes and famous yuriships (romances between two girls from the series). If any player dares to complain about this clear difference in treatment in the chat channels, they receive a permanent ban and are expelled without the right to appeal.
The community's fury
The situation has reached a breaking point on social media, leaving fans of this racing franchise with three very clear demands to stop what they call an abuse of power:
- Zero ideologies: Fans demand that an official video game server should not be controlled by people who impose their own personal grudges or ideologies on the rest of the players.
- Mass firing: The community is demanding that the game's developer take action and replace the entire current moderation team for engaging in selective censorship.
- New spaces: Fearing the loss of their accounts, many users are already creating alternative servers where everyone can post their romantic drawings in peace and without being silenced.
