One Piece Live-Action: Everything We Know About Seasons 2 and 3
Cast, Dates, and Confirmed Arcs for the New Adventure of the Straw Hats on Netflix

Have you seen the new teaser? Netflix just dropped a preview of One Piece: Into the Grand Line, the second season of the live-action adaptation, and we're here to break it all down. The excitement is real, and the release date already has a spot on our calendar: March 10, 2026.
A Journey to New Horizons
Production for this new season began in July 2024 and is now officially finished. According to Eiichiro Oda himself, the story will take us up to the Drum Island arc. This means we'll see some of the most iconic locations from the saga on screen:
- Loguetown
- Reverse Mountain and Twin Cape
- Whiskey Peak
- Little Garden
- Drum Island
Ready to see how they adapt the arrival at the Grand Line? We're already placing our bets.
New Faces Behind the Scenes
The creative team also has news. Joe Tracz (known for Percy Jackson and the Olympians) joins the adventure as a writer, executive producer, and co-showrunner, working alongside Matt Owens from the first season. Steve Maeda, who was co-showrunner before, now serves as an executive producer.
A fact that made us reflect: Matt Owens announced in March that he would leave the show after the production of season 2 to focus on his mental health. An important reminder that behind the magic on screen, there are people.
The Cast Bringing Alabasta (and More) to Life
The list of new actors is huge! Netflix has already confirmed a ton of talent who will bring key characters to life. Here are some of the most notable names:
- Callum Kerr as Smoker
- Julia Rehwald as Tashigi
- Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday
- Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0
- Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday
- Sendhil Ramamurthy as Nefertari Cobra
- David Dastmalchian as Mr. 3
And a fun fact we love: Mikaela Hoover will not only voice Chopper in the English version, but will also provide the facial capture for the character! How do you think our beloved reindeer will look?
And Season 3? It's on the way too!
It seems Netflix is serious about this project, because a third season is already in production. Although it's still a ways off, some juicy signings have already been announced:
- Cole Escola as Bon Clay
- Xolo Maridueña as Portgas D. Ace
- Daisy Head as Miss Doublefinger
For this third installment, the co-showrunners, writers, and executive producers will be Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz. The adventure continues.
The Legacy of the First Season
We can't talk about the future without remembering the past. The first season, which premiered in August 2023 with 8 episodes, not only won over fans but also took home two Emmy Awards: one for "Outstanding Original Song for a Children's or Young Teen Program" and another for "Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Live Program." A good omen for what's to come.
Production was handled by Tomorrow Studios, with Becky Clements and Steve Maeda as executive producers.
We already have the countdown activated for March 2026. The million-dollar question is: which arc from the series are you most excited to see in live-action? Loguetown, the encounter with Crocus, or the arrival at Drum Island? Tell us in the comments!
