Netflix's One Piece confirms season 3: Alabasta arrives in 2027

Desert sands and political conflicts are about to turn up the heat in the biggest pirate journey on television today. After months of speculation, the acclaimed live-action adaptation of One Piece officially confirmed that its third season, titled The Battle of Alabasta, will arrive on Netflix's global catalog sometime in 2027.

Production for these new episodes is already underway in Cape Town, South Africa. Showrunners Ian Stokes and Joe Tracz return to take the helm of the project, working as writers and executive producers to ensure that mangaka Eiichiro Oda's original vision remains faithful as the Straw Hat Pirates face their first major wartime challenge.

The Chaotic Entrance to the Grand Line and the Conflict in Alabasta

This major update comes just weeks after the second season, Into the Grand Line, made its debut on March 10, 2026. The main plot follows Monkey D. Luffy and his crew as they navigate the unpredictable Grand Line with a clear goal: helping Princess Vivi stop a civil war orchestrated from the shadows that threatens to destroy her home kingdom. With the fate of an entire country at stake and confrontations on a scale never before seen in the series, this third installment promises to mark a turning point in the franchise.
