Kamen Rider joins Aniplex and Shirogumi to create animated films
The legendary tokusatsu franchise partners with Aniplex and Shirogumi for its debut.

The laws of physics and the limitations of stunt suits will no longer be an obstacle for Japan's most iconic motorized heroes. The legendary superhero franchise known as Kamen Rider has decided to radically expand its horizons within the anime industry by creating an exclusive label entirely dedicated to the production of animated feature films.
To inaugurate this ambitious line of cinematic projects, the committee in charge selected two giants of visual entertainment: Aniplex and studio Shirogumi. While Aniplex will provide its immense production muscle to ensure impeccable quality, Shirogumi will be responsible for dazzling viewers with its proven mastery in visual effects and modeling, promising top-tier Japanese animation.

The visual evolution of the masked riders
Historically tied to the live-action format, this transition will allow directors and animators to choreograph monumental battles that would be impossible to film with real actors on a traditional set. Although no promotional image, title, or release window has been revealed for this first animated adaptation yet, the executives behind the brand assure that the film will keep intact the heroic spirit and adrenaline that have captivated entire generations within global geek culture.
The legacy of justice on a motorcycle
Originally born from the mind of Shotaro Ishinomori himself and propelled to massive fame by Toei Company, the core saga follows brave individuals who, using technological or mystical transformation belts, acquire superhuman powers to stop monsters and evil organizations threatening world peace. This iconic tokusatsu has been on the air for decades, becoming an absolute benchmark for justice, dramatic explosions, and unmistakable battle poses that will now take on new life in 2D and 3D formats.
What level of action and destruction do you expect to see now that the franchise will not depend on stunt doubles for its most intense fights?
