How Not to Summon a Demon Lord Anime to Return with a Third Season
The popular isekai starring Takuma Sakamoto will return after five long years of absence.

Being summoned to another world and having to play the role of a ruthless villain just to hide extreme social anxiety is a challenge that Takuma Sakamoto will have to face once again. The acclaimed anime adaptation of How Not to Summon a Demon Lord (known in Japan as Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu) surprised the community this Monday by officially confirming that a third season is already in production.
This announcement marks the triumphant return of one of the most entertaining exponents of modern isekai, breaking a long five-year silence since the broadcast of its second installment in 2021. Although the production companies in charge of the project have not yet revealed a release window or shared an initial trailer, the simple confirmation was enough to ignite the expectations of fans who were eager to continue the story.

The fake Demon Lord and his summoner slaves
The original work, born as a successful light novel written by Yukiya Murasaki and illustrated by Takahiro Tsurusaki under the Kodansha publishing umbrella, introduces us to Takuma Sakamoto. In real life, Takuma is a lonely gamer with zero communication skills, but within his favorite video game, he is the almighty demon lord known as Diablo. Everything takes a radical turn when he is transported to a fantasy reality with the exact appearance of his avatar.
