Date A Live announces its new anime Date A Live F Last Date

Tactical battles and romantic conquests are about to reach a turning point. The publisher Kadokawa officially announced the production of a new animated project titled Date A Live F Last Date, releasing a first teaser video and a striking promotional image where Tohka Yatogami wears a formal wedding dress.

This announcement is part of the celebrations for the global franchise's fifteenth anniversary. Although the companies involved have not revealed the specific format of the project (whether it be a movie, television series, or OVA) nor its release date, they confirmed that the animation studio in charge will be Fugaku, operating under the direction of Junji Nishimura, known for his work on titles such as Vladlove.

New designs and messages for the 15th anniversary

The creator of the original light novel, Koushi Tachibana, dedicated a message to the community, reflecting on how readers who were born during the publication of the first volume are now already in middle school. For her part, the illustrator Tsunako revealed a crucial technical detail for this future animated adaptation: she was in charge of designing completely new and personalized outfits for the 12 Spirits of the story, anticipating that seeing them animated in these unreleased garments will be a central attraction.

Voice Cast

To preserve the auditory identity that has characterized this romantic comedy and science fiction story throughout its five previous seasons, the production team secured the return of its key seiyuus:

• Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shido Itsuka.Actor recognized for voicing Yuno in Black Clover and Eugeo in Sword Art Online.
• Marina Inoue as Tohka Yatogami.The iconic voice behind Armin Arlert in Shingeki no Kyojin and Momo Yaoyorozu in My Hero Academia.

The massive ensemble cast is completed with the formal return of Misuzu Togashi, Ayana Taketatsu, Iori Nomizu, Asami Sanada, Maaya Uchida, Sarah Emi Bridcutt, Minori Chihara, Ayumi Mano, Hitomi Nabatame, Akari Kageyama, and Aya Endo.

The challenge of saving the world through dating

The plot of this representative pillar of the harem genre places us in a world constantly threatened by "Spacequakes," disasters of mass annihilation caused by the arrival on Earth of mysterious entities known simply as Spirits. To stop the destruction without resorting to military violence, the young student Shido Itsuka discovers that he possesses an unusual ability: he can seal the destructive power of these entities if he manages to make them fall in love with him and kiss him. Thus begins a dangerous double life where Shido must plan perfect dates, deal with multiple personalities, and dodge the crossfire of rival armed organizations.
