Clevatess II: Everything We Know About the Anime's Second Season
New heroes, more beasts, and a release date already marked on our calendars

The wait has an expiration date. Kadokawa has released all the information about the second season of Clevatess, and we are here to break it down. If you thought the first installment had it all, get ready because the king of magical beasts is about to return with even more power.
The New Mission and the Cast Leading It
The story left us with a baby as humanity's last hope, entrusted to the very lord of the magical beasts. Clevatess II -Majū no Ō to Itsuwari no Yūsha Denshō- will continue this epic where the line between hero and catastrophe is thinner than the edge of a legendary sword. Alicia and her childhood dream face consequences greater than she ever imagined.
For this new adventure, fresh voices join the cast in crucial roles. Shūichirō Umeda will bring Rei to life, Yurina Kikuchi will step into the role of Mary, and Tatsumaru Tachibana will be Andrew. Furthermore, Ryōta Suzuki and Hiromu Mineta complete the team as Tigel and Leon, respectively. A group of characters that will undoubtedly add new layers of conflict and alliances to this world on the brink of the abyss.
The Creative Team Returns to the Fray
The good news is that the band is back together. The direction is once again in the hands of Kiyotaka Taguchi, who already demonstrated his talent in the first season and whose work on kaiju design for SSSS.Dynazenon is a perfect fit for a world full of magical beasts.
Keigo Koyanagi returns to the scripts, ensuring the continuity of a plot more intricate than a Gordian knot. For character design, Souichirou Sako returns as chief animation director, guaranteeing that the visual style that captivated us remains. He is joined by Natsuko Kondou as the new sub-designer and chief animation director, promising even more polished details.
Behind the Scenes: The Other Pillars
The Lay-duce machine remains well-oiled with plenty of talent. Nobuaki Nobusawa returns for music composition, so get ready for more soundtracks that perfectly nail the atmosphere. The art and technical team, with names like Atsushi Morikawa (art director) and Shigeki Asakawa (director of photography), also returns, which is synonymous with quality and visual consistency.
The Countdown Has Already Begun
Here is the information everyone wanted: July 2026. Yes, there's still a way to go, but at least we now have a month and a year on the horizon. The first season, premiered in July 2025 and distributed by Crunchyroll, laid solid foundations. This second part arrives to answer questions and, probably, pose many more.
The original manga by Yuji Iwahara, which began on LINE Manga in 2020 and is now serialized by Kadokawa in Comic Alive+, remains the source of this epic. Iwahara's narrative, known for his work on Darker than Black and Dimension W, has that unique touch that blends dark fantasy with memorable character designs.
So now you know. The legend of the false hero is about to be written with new pages. All that's left for us is to wait, rewatch the first season, and speculate about what epic disaster awaits us this time. Because in the world of Clevatess, saving humanity is never as simple as brandishing a sword.
