Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season: New Rivals Join the Diamond
Fresh cast members and a spring premiere date for the return of our favorite baseball stars

We are lacing up our cleats once again. The dugout is getting crowded and the stadium lights are flickering on for Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season. We have been waiting since the last pitch in 2020, and the anticipation is higher than a fly ball to center field. New challenges await our protagonists, and the roster of rivals just got a lot more interesting. We are ready to see who dominates the mound this time around.
Fresh Faces on the Field
The official website recently dropped a bombshell. We have three new players joining the fray, and they are not here to play nice. These third-year veterans are ready to make life difficult for Seidou High. We are talking about seasoned athletes with a lot to prove before graduation. It is like adding extra spice to a dish that was already burning our tongues!
- Shugo Nakamura will voice Koya Urabe: The ace pitcher from Norikane Academy.
- Atsushi Tamaru takes on Soichi Yagira: The star pitcher from Sosei High School.
- Kento Hama plays Koji Nara: The reliable second baseman, also from Sosei High School.
Can you imagine the pressure? These guys are the final bosses of their respective schools. We can already hear the crack of the bat and the roar of the crowd. Are we prepared for the drama these three will bring to the diamond? Probably not, but we love the chaos anyway.
A New Captain in the Director's Chair
Every team needs a leader, and the production staff is seeing some tactical changes. We have a new director steering the ship at OLM. Hideaki Oba is taking the reins, bringing his experience from titles like I'm in Love with the Villainess. He replaces the previous director, and we are curious to see his vision for the high-stakes matches.
However, some things never change, and we are grateful for that. Kenji Konuta returns to handle the series scripts, ensuring the soul of the story remains intact. Hajime Hyakkoku is also back to compose the music. We need those epic soundtracks to make every strikeout feel like a life-or-death situation! On the visual side, Yasukazu Shoji is the new character designer. We expect the animation to be as sharp as a 95 mph fastball.
The Road to the Spring Premiere
We finally have a date to mark on our calendars. Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season will premiere in April 2025. It will air on TV Tokyo and AT-X. It feels like a long time since Yuji Terajima first introduced us to this world in 2006. Since then, we have followed the manga through 47 volumes of the original series and 34 volumes of the sequel.
Why do we love this franchise so much? Maybe it is the grit. Maybe it is the humor. Or maybe it is just that we enjoy seeing teenagers stress out over a ball game more than we stress over our morning coffee. Here is a quick recap of the journey so far:
- The original anime started in 2013 with 75 episodes.
- Ace of Diamond: Second Season followed in 2015.
- The first part of Ace of Diamond Act II gave us 52 episodes of pure adrenaline starting in 2019.
We have seen these boys grow, cry, and win. Now, the final stretch is approaching. Will our favorites finally reach the top, or will the new rivals steal the spotlight? We are counting down the days until April. What do you think about the new cast members joining the series?
