SHORT PEACE

SHORT PEACE is a remarkable anime anthology of four visually stunning and thematically distinct short films. Each segment is a self-contained story, exploring diverse genres from historical drama to post-apocalyptic science fiction through masterful animation.

Possessions (Tsukumo) follows a lost traveler who takes shelter in a mysterious shrine, only to encounter a world of animated and possessed everyday objects. Combustible (Hi no Youjin) is a dramatic and beautifully rendered tale set in Edo-period Japan, portraying the human stories intertwined with a catastrophic historical fire. Gambo presents a dark fantasy where a village, terrorized by a demonic ogre, pins its hopes on a fierce white bear and a courageous young girl. A Farewell to Weapons (Buki yo Saraba) thrusts the viewer into a desolate future, where a specialized military squad undertakes a perilous mission against a relentless, automated enemy in a ruined city.
